Yoko gave us 5-star service. He picked us up at our hotel and drove us around Nagoya pointing out places of interests. He planned a great day for us. We visited a sword museum, the Nagoya Castle and grounds, picked a great lunch place on the palace grounds that accommodated all our tastes, the Toyota Museum, and then took the adult aged kids to explore trading cards, vintage stores and Pokémon. It was so nice to be driven around and not rushing to catch trains and we got to see more of Nagoya. It also helped us rest our tired legs and feet. I wish we had planned more days in Nagoya. It is a big city but not so rushed and crowded as Tokyo. There are so many more places and things to do in Nagoya. Mahalo Yoko we will reconnect when we return on our next trip!

We had a wonderful day in Nagoya. You could not have a better tour guide! Not only did Yoko speak excellent English but adjusted our tour requests at the last minute. Yoko was very good at crafting a trip to see a pearl farm and to be able to remove a pearl ourselves from an oyster, organized a barbecue and then take us to the Mikimoto museum as well as the Ise Jingu shrine. A full day trip with an excellent tour guide.
Takayama and Shirakawago tour - Return tour from Nagoya
We asked Yoko to take us to Takayama and the Shirakawa go village. We mentioned we weren’t not able to walk long distances, so he very kindly dropped us and picked us up, near each location. We managed to fit in the market at Takayama, tried the unusual Hida beef sushi, found a great lacquer shop where the owner was fluent in English, and he managed to find us a seat at an old Inn for lunch.
We visited the Shirakawa go village afterwards but while it was white, it wasn’t very cold and there wasn’t much snow around. Yoko rounded the day by dropping us off at this suburb restaurant near Nagoya station which has Yakiniku.
Yoko is an excellent guide with a wide range of knowledge and very fluent in English. He was great at advising on good restaurants in Nagoya and was able to give us the best experiences on our day tour. Highly recommended.

Takayama and Shirakawago tour - Return tour from Nagoya
Mr. Yoko is a friendly and kind guide who truly understands what we want. It felt like we were on a vacation with our own family. Unfortunately, the time felt very short as the tour was only for one day. I will definitely come back, and we were very satisfied. Our first tour to Takayama and Shirakawago was very memorable and enjoyable. The children and their mother were thrilled.
